Hearts without Borders
PLEASE HELP to get our foundation HEARTS WITHOUT BORDERS off the ground!
Its primary function is to impart the knowledge the medical field has documented with regards to the awe-inspiring and loving experience that awaits us at the end of our earthly lifes. Yes, it is increasingly obvious to many physicians and scientists that the descriptions of spiritual entities by many terminally-ill patients, both young and old, are not all hallucinations or delirium as a result of a multitude of causative factors and toxins from the dying body. In fact, increasingly number of physicians and nurses involved intimately in hospice and palliative care, are certain that their is a major difference between hallucinations and what patients themselves emphatically state are visions of a loving after-life. This incredible and consistently observed non-linear conscious awareness by the terminally-ill have now given birth to a multitude of theories and methods of research to further ascertain the cause of these experiences. Currently, research is being undertaken at The University of Virginia Medical School, The University of Arizona as well as a multitude of private institutions around the world. It is quite a quantum leap in the attempt at understanding how science relates to spirituality. I am truly excited and am hopeful that we will find out that we never die. Like Einstein said, our energy will move forward to continually be part of the infinite dimensions and worlds.
I want to continue my research of bridging the gap between scientists findings and my anecdotal data from those beautiful souls that died leaving me with messages of love from “the other-side” and to share with the world mainly through education.
As such, I feel the best way to funnel this plan is through a foundation or non-profit program, through the generous donations from those that can truly afford it, so I can hire an incredible team of scientists, social workers, patients themselves, theologians, lobbyists, teachers and high level public officials. Whether this foundation gets off the ground or not, this will not stop my own way of making a difference; and that is by continuing caring for my loving patients and their families, one at a time. In the book Into The Light, Little Mattew states that one person has enough energy and love within him to make changes that would ultimately affect the entire world. Mattew quotes; “All one just has to do is just believe”.
I would like the foundation to encourage the public school system, 7th through 12th grade,to considering adding a curriculum that emphasizes the human life cycle, from birth to death, and what one can expect to occur as we age and how best to cope. With so many youth dying prematurely today and most preventable, either on school property, on the streets or at home, it is imperative to educate our youth and future leaders about life and death as well as solutions to family abuse, peer pressure, depression. I consistently talk to my children about how to truly enjoy life, and that is by understanding our birth and death and having a strong spiritual foundation or knowing there is someone or a foundation they can call on for support. When someone dies at a school, their bereavement involves gathering all students in a large room or gym and giving them a 30 - 60 minute discussion and eduction on how to handle loss. I applaud this attempt, but it falls way short and most often ineffective for most students.
I would also like to have colleges, Universities and Medical schools mandate this subject matter be taught and discussed. There is so much work to be done, but I am hopeful that with healthy donations, (please, from those that can afford it during these hard economic times).
Last but not least, I would love the foundation to aid our wonderful United States government in opening up government sponsored hospices, especially in hard-ship areas, as this will allow every American to
have equal access to hospice home care and palliative inpatient care.
This is a gift to the patients and families but to th government as well, as savings to medicare could reach as much as 40 billion dollars/year. The possibilities are endless and the outcomes are nothing but a better quality of life for all!
Currently, I am begun working with physicians in South America, Venezuela, on starting their countries first hospice as well as working with hospices in Texas to promote education on our transition and to make all hospices equal in what they provide to their patients and families for comfort whether they can afford it or not.
I am also in communication with the Texas Public School system with regards to initiating a pilot program that talks about the human life cycle; death and dying; coping with loss….This is so important today with such loss of life in public schools and universities.
Further lobbying is needed, but without funding through donations or grants, it will be quite difficult to get this project of the ground.
Please be generous!!
